There is power in Podhale, Stekała, Żyła, Kubacki and Stoch !!!

On Wednesday, January 6, we will find out who will win the 4-Hills-Tournament 2021. And it was not supposed to be like that, the German Sanepid had a different plan for the jumpers from Poland. The beginning in Obersdorf did show that Kamil Stoch was returning to his form and that was also where Andrzej Stękała proved that he is in great shape. Dawid Kubacki won in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Piotr Żyła was third, Kamil Stoch was fourth, and Andrzej Stękała was tenth. Everyone wondered if Dawid Kubacki, breaking the record of that hill, wants to win this tournament again. On January 3, however, champion Kamil Stoch showed how to win and stood on the highest podium, Dawid Kubacki won the third place and Piotr Żyła was fourth. Stoch’s jump on YouTube

In Bischofshofen we will find out which of the Poles will win the entire tournament, Stoch or Kubacki. Piotrek Żyła should try to overtake the Norwegian Granerud, he has 26 points behind him, knowing his possibilities, it is likely that in two jumps he will make up for this loss.

Poles from Podhale showed us their will to fight for victory, may it be an example for the mayor of Zakopane. On January 1st it was published in Gazeta Krakowska: The authorities of Zakopane should demand compensation from the government for the lost profits as a result of the pandemic and restrictions – appeals Zbigniew Szczerba, a city councilor from Giewont. He wants to oblige the mayor to talk about it with Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki. Mayor Leszek Dorula thinks that it doesn’t make sense. – Zakopane cannot and will not be treated specially in Poland – he replies.

I wonder if after the Poles’ performances in the Four Hills Tournament, mayor Leszek Dorula remembers how to fight, demand the right to a normal life in Zakopane, and why he thinks that it is pointless to demand compensations? If Krystyna Janda received it, then Zakopane and Podhale deserve them even more!
