Tropem Wilczym Run in Zakopane 2025

Tropem Wilczym Run in Zakopane – Sports and Historical Remembrance

On March 2, 2025, the “Tropem Wilczym” Run in Memory of the Cursed Soldiers will take place at Górna Rówień Krupowa. This is an opportunity to combine physical activity with commemorating the heroes of the Polish underground. The route runs through picturesque Zakopane landscapes, and both experienced runners and families are welcome to participate.

Three Distances to Choose From

  • 1963 m – family distance
  • 3926 m – medium distance
  • 5919 m – challenging route

The run is open to everyone, with no age restrictions. The participant limit is 120 people.

Registration and Fees

Registration lasts until February 26, 2025. If the limit is not reached, additional registrations will be possible at the event office.

Participation Cost:

  • 50 PLN for online registration (60 PLN at the event office)
  • 30 PLN for Zakopane Resident Card holders

Each participant will receive a T-shirt and a start number, and at the finish line – a commemorative medal.

The run does not have a prize classification, but all participants will receive commemorative statuettes or cups. This is a unique opportunity to honor the memory of the Cursed Soldiers in a sporting way.

Her works, referred to as “woven paintings” and “woven sculptures,” go beyond the classical concept of decorative textiles, immersing the viewer in a world of colorful expression and rich texture.

As Tadeusz Brzozowski noted, the color in her work “pulses with life while maintaining harmony and clarity of form.”

Helena Sułkowska-Pawlik – An Internationally Renowned Artist

Born in Tylmanowa, she studied under renowned artists such as Antoni Kenar and Tadeusz Brzozowski. She has participated in over 200 exhibitions worldwide – from New York and Berlin to Moscow, Lyon, and Leipzig. Her works are held in numerous private and museum collections. A laureate of prestigious awards, including the “Gloria Artis Medal for Merit to Culture” (2024).
