Zakopane is preparing for one of the most special nights of the year. New Year’s Eve 2025 at Górna Rówień Krupowa once again returns to its roots, focusing on the Podhale climate, folk energy, and music meant to move the crowds in the heart of the Tatras. This year, the event is co-organized by Radio Złote Przeboje, which further emphasizes its musical character. Opening with a Highlander vibe New Year’s Eve 2025
The evening will begin with performances by the Regional Ensemble named after Klimek Bachleda and the youth group Budorze. This is not only a symbolic nod to the roots of Podhale but also a sign that tradition is meant to be an integral part of the night. After the very successful previous edition, New Year’s Eve 2024/2025, Zakopane continues what delighted both residents and visitors: the authentic, sincere atmosphere of a highlander winter. 
New Year’s Eve line-up, who will perform on NYE 2025 / 2026?
This year’s New Year’s Eve 2025 will be a mix of folk, pop, and well-known hits. The organizers: the City of Zakopane, Zakopane Cultural Center, and Radio Złote Przeboje announce the following schedule:
- Highlander prologue (19:00) – The Regional Ensemble named after Klimek Bachleda and Budorze will introduce the audience to the Podhale atmosphere through music and dance.
- Basia Giewont (19:30) – a local artist combining alternative sounds with highlander tradition. Her concert will be modern yet deeply rooted in regional inspirations.
- Future Folk (20:30) – powerful electronic beats and traditional highlander melodies in a contemporary style. The band has long been considered an icon of the folk scene.
- Szafa Gra (21:45) – the biggest hits of recent decades, perfect for the dance part of the evening.
- De Mono (23:10) – classic, timeless songs preparing us for the midnight countdown. Collective singing guaranteed.
- Gipsy King Party feat. Rico Sanchez (00:00) – energizing rumbas and gypsy pop right after entering the New Year.
This is a strong line-up that should keep the party atmosphere high even on a frosty Zakopane night.
Event organization key information before the celebration
The event will traditionally take place at Górna Rówień Krupowa and will be completely free of charge. The city announces:
- gate opening around 18:00,
- concert start at 19:00,
- end of the event planned for around 01:30.
It’s best to arrive on foot traffic in the center may be limited, and parking spaces fill up quickly. The event area will include food stands, heating zones, and proper public safety services.
Fireworks what to know about the ban?
Zakopane has a year-round ban on firing fireworks, firecrackers, and pyrotechnics in public spaces. This is important information for anyone planning to welcome the New Year. The ban was introduced to protect the historic wooden architecture, tourists, and animals (both domestic and wild).
